The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc-IT) was established in 2010 with the approval of the State Govt. of Uttarakhand and affiliated to Sridev Suman University, New Tehri. The intake for BSc(IT) is 60 seats. The following is the eligibility criteria for admission in BSc(IT).
Should have Passed 10+2 in any stream.

Laboratory Facilities
The courses run by the department support lab facility in UNIX, C programming, data structures, DBMS, OOPS, graphics, networking, JAVA programming, Web technology, client server architecture, etc. The labs are equipped with rich software like C/C++, JAVA, Visual Studio, Visual Studio.Net, which run over the following platforms:

Linux Lab
OIMT provides Ubuntu Linux service to its students under the GNU licence agreement. This lab provides programming on Inter Process Communication (IPC), compressed file system, usage of shared memory and shell programming of Linux operating System.
Networking and Internet Lab
The networking lab is configured with six 24-port Ethernet switches having an extended star topology. Internet is provided by a separate 10MBPS dedicated leased line from Airtel Bharti Communication link.
Printer Facilities
Each computer lab is equipped with Laser and Dot Matrix Printers where students can print their project reports, program files and notes etc.
Data Server
Computer lab is equipped with Data Storage Server where students can store their project data, program data and notes on their individual login account provided by computer department.
